Upton High pupils bid farewell in style at leavers’ ball

STUDENTS have celebrated the end of their academic life at Upton by Chester High School with an end of year prom.

A celebration of the end of sixth form was held at the Mollington Banastre for the upper sixth at the school.

It was their last official day of school before departing for study leave and their A-level exams.

The students made their entrances in style from posh frocks and suits to kilts and traditional Nigerian dress.

This year’s unusual transport to the event included a first for scooters and Segways.

A school spokesperson said: “The students had been looking forward to this annual event for months and the evening was a tremendous success with a dancing to the disco, a buffet and the essential awards presentations.”
