Apartments have permission above Brook Street cake shop

APARTMENTS had permission above a cake shop.

The scheme was put forward at Newton Bakery, 85a Brook Street by Charles Brook Ltd.

Planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council were told approval was being sought for the change of use of vacant first floor office accommodation to two one bedroom apartments.

The ‘living over the shop’ scheme was welcomed by Chester's Conservation Area Advisory Committee which said the conversion would help the viability of properties in the retail street.
