Cheshire schools join Walk to School Week
CHILDREN from Saughall All Saints Primary School put their best feet forward for Walk to School Week.
The youngsters joined thousands of primary school children across Cheshire West and Chester taking part in the campaign.
This year’s theme was ‘keep fit and have fun’ and pupils at the 91 participating schools received a leaflet and sticker.
The aim was to reduce traffic outside school gates with the majority of parents and carers walking their children to school. Pupils who live at a distance from schools were encouraged to join in through a ‘park and stride’ scheme where they drove part way and walked the rest.
