Police confirm there are no other suspects in married couple tragedy

POLICE investigating the deaths of the married couple found dead in their Upton home have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

The body of 50-year-old Paul Knowles and wife Gillian, 51, were found at around midday on Wednesday, May 19, in a house on Caughall Road, Chester after concerns were raised by neighbours.

The results of post mortems to establish the cause of their deaths are expected on Friday (May 21) afternoon when the couple will be formally identified.

Cheshire police spokeswoman Jacqui Hanson said the next of kin of the deceased, including Mrs Knowles' son and daughter, have been informed of their deaths.

The house in which the bodies were found remains cordoned off today (Thursday) while police enquiries continue at the scene.
