AN ARTIST known as the ‘people painter’ has created a portrait of Chester’s outgoing lord mayor to mark the end of his tenure.
Terry Mullen, of Broughton, spent three weeks completing the work, which was unveiled during a banquet event in honour of Lord Mayor John Ebo.
Mr Mullen said: “I have known John for a number of years and suggested I paint the picture as a memory of his time as lord mayor.
“I produced a number of photographs and sketches before transferring them onto the canvas in my studio.”
Cllr Ebo is due to end his time as lord mayor on Friday, May 14.
