CHESTER Motor Boat Club has approval to replace a timber tea room with storage.
The club, on the banks of the River Dee, told planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council it wanted permission a storage container which would be painted to be as inconspicuous as possible.
Great Boughton Parish Council raised concerns about the visual impact of the container on the river frontage.
Planners accepted the storage would be visible from the river and the footpath on the Meadows but pointed out it would be 30m from the river bank next to the large club house.
The application was recommended for a temporary three year permission and this was agreed by the council.
