PLANS to demolish two bus shelters in Frodsham have been blocked by town mayor Geoff Bath.
The town council’s amenities committee recommended demolishing two metal shelters on the A56 near the Netherton Arms because they said kerbs at the sites were too low to accommodate drop-floor buses and they could no longer pick up passengers.
Cllr Bath said: “I understand they are designated stops and we should not agree to having this amenity taken away without further consideration. For some people, it could cause considerable problems.”
