APPROVAL was granted for the conversion of a five-bedroom property in a rural village into a pair of semis.
The conversion was proposed by Mr and Mrs B Forster at Blue Cap House, Blue Cap Lane, Hampton.
Agents for Mr and Mrs Forster explained their family had moved away.
The conversion would provide a smaller home for their needs and a separate three-bedroom property.
The conversion will create two three bedroom homes and will require an additional window in the front and the creation of a door and a window in the side, said planners at Cheshire West and Chester Council.
There will be a small single storey extension at the rear.
Recommending the application should be approved, officers said there would be no unacceptable detrimental effect on neighbours.
The council agreed the conversion could have permission.
Outline plans were agreed in April last year for four homes on an adjacent vacant commercial site.
