Armed robbery at Ellesmere Port Bargain Booze off-licence

ARMED robbers have targeted an Ellesmere Port off-licence.

The incident happened on Thursday, March 25, at about 8.40pm at Bargain Booze, Gleneagles Road, Ellesmere Port.

Three men entered the store and two were armed with 12inch kitchen knives.

The men threatened a man and a woman working in the shop and ordered them to open the safe.

They filled a black bin bag with cigarettes and cash.

The men left via a rear stock room exit.

Cash and cigarettes were stolen.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The first man was 5ft 5inch, slim and wore a light and dark hoodie with the hood up and a Balaclava covering his face.

He wore black gloves and bright blue eyes.

The second man was about 5ft 7-8inch, of slim build and wore a black hoodie with the hood up and black trousers.

He had a dark scarf covering his face.

The third man was about 5ft 9inch, of slim-medium build and wore a light hoodie with the hood up and a grey scarf covering his face.

Anyone who saw three men acting suspiciously in the area at the time and has any information should contact DC Beamish, of Ellesmere Port CID, on 0845 458 0000 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
