Family’s collection of china and silverware stolen from static caravan in Elton

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a family’s collection of china and silverware was stolen.

The selection of Royal Crown Derby pieces were taken during a burglary between 10.30pm on March 2 and 9am on March 3 from a static caravan in old Hall Lane, Elton.

Offenders smashed a window to get into the home and took items including pottery and a silver bowl.

PC John Kolokotroni from the Western Area pro-active CID said: “These ornaments are precious to the family and they just want them back where they belong. I would ask anyone who saw anything that night or who might have information on the offenders to call the police.”

Police have issued photographs of some of the missing pieces and are asking anyone who is offered the pieces for sale or has seen them advertised to contact Cheshire Constabulary on 0845 458 00000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
