Chester’s Sasha in a spin after Sport Relief hoola hoop world record attempt

HOOLA hoop teacher Sasha Kenney is still in a spin after helping the UK to achieve a world record on Sport Relief Day.

Sasha and her four-year-old daughter, Kiara, took part in the Guiness World Record attempt for the most people to hoola hoop simultaneously for two minutes.

Sasha and Kiara travelled to Manchester for the event, which took place in 16 major cities across the UK. Officials later revealed that their efforts had been successful.

Earlier in the day, Sasha, who teaches hoola hooping at the Northgate Arena led 60 hoola hoopers in various sponsored activities during the Sport Relief event at Chester Racecourse. Ten of them even hoola-hooped the mile-long course.

“It was the most wonderful day,” said Sasha.

“The hoola hooping was a wonderful addition to the running. “It was very colourful and such a lot of fun.”
