Science and technology celebration at Chester Catholic High School
SCIENCE, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) were the focus of a celebration at Chester Catholic High School.
The day was aimed at boosting the profile of STEM subjects in schools.
Pupils from other primary and secondary schools, including neighbouring Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School, joined students to view the Skybolt Rocket, demonstrated by Phil Garnet of Starchaser.
Year 9 students also took part in a super-capacitor electric car challenge.
Head of science Sue Frencham said: “It was a fantastic day which provided a real insight in to science and technology-based careers which I’m sure will influence pupils’ choices.
