Sandstones Pre-School in Tattenhall celebrate Ofsted report
CHILDREN and staff at a Tattenhall pre-school are delighted with the results of their latest Ofsted inspection.
Sandstones Pre-school, based at the Old School on High Street in the village has been given an overall rating of ‘good’ by Ofsted.
Sandstones has recently undergone a management change with Joanne Hutcheon joining the team in November.
The Ofsted inspector praised the ‘highly motivated’ staff who provided ‘quality care and education’ and ‘a well developed knowledge of each child's needs, ensures that staff successfully promote children's welfare and learning’.The report highlighted the importance of the pre-school’s outdoor play area as a place where children can ‘improve their physical skills’ and listed the range of outdoor play equipment the preschool had for the children.
Joanne said: “We were absolutely thrilled to get such a good Ofsted inspection. We, like many other pre-schools, had a big change when the Early Years Foundation Stage was introduced and we are delighted we have done so well. I think it helped that we have such a fantastic outdoor area and staff really embraced the changes introduced.”
