COLOURFUL socks and ties were donned by pupils to help raise £660 for the Haiti earthquake appeal.
King’s School Chester pupil William Ashton, 10, had the idea of swapping school uniform for brightly-coloured socks and ties with the entire school eventually taking part.
King’s spokeswoman Vicky Titmuss said: “Everyone in the school participated – pupils and staff and there were some hilarious ties and amazing socks. The total amount raised will make a big difference to the families in Haiti as £10 provides them with a basic water kit. Well done William and King’s juniors.”
