Three vehicle collision leads to closure of M56 at Hapsford services

THREE vehicles have been involved in a collision on the M56 at Hapsford this morning, causing rush hour chaos and leading to the closure of part of the motorway.
One person is believed to be trapped in a vehicle and another is suffering from a serious medical condition.
The accident happened about 6.45am today (Tuesday, March 16) between junctions 15 and 14 on the M56 near Hapsford service station.
Traffic is currently being diverted off the motorway through Ellesmere Port while the M56 remains closed.
