GREEN power giant Peel Energy will formally submit plans for its Frodsham and Helsby marshland wind farm on Friday.
Following feedback from consultations and environmental studies Peel Energy is proposing a total of 20 wind turbines, one less than was originally earmarked for the empty land.
As well as announcing the application – which will be handed to the department of energy and climate change – Peel will be hosting another round of exhibitions for homeowners in Frodsham, Helsby and Elton to see the new proposal and speak to the developer’s experts.
Stephen Snowdon, Peel Energy development manager, said: “Thank you to everyone who attended our public exhibitions last November and gave us their valuable feedback.
“We have made some changes to our proposal and want to share these with the local communities.
“There will be a range of new information, including 30 images showing how the wind farm would look as well as details of the noise assessments that have been completed.”
The exhibitions will take place on Saturday, March 6, from 10am-3pm at Helsby Community Centre, Wednesday, March 10, from 2pm-7pm, at Main Street Church, Frodsham and on Thursday, March 11, from 10am-3pm, at Elton Community Centre.
