Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a recovery vehicle on Liverpool Road, Chester, this morning

A WITNESS appeal is underway following a fatal accident on Liverpool Road, Chester, this morning.

Cheshire Police would like to speak to four potential witnesses who were near The Frog pub at about 9.42am today.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “The collision happened outside The Frog public house on the A5116, Liverpool Road, and involved a pedestrian and a recovery vehicle.

“Cheshire Police would particularly like to talk to the following potential witnesses: a cyclist travelling in the direction of Chester City Centre who may have seen the pedestrian and recovery vehicle immediately prior to the collision, a young woman pushing a push chair through The Frog Pub car park and walking towards Chester along Liverpool Road, and the drivers of two silver coloured cars travelling through the pub car park just prior to the collision.”

Liverpool Road in Chester has been reopened following the fatal road accident near to The Frog Pub this morning.

Cheshire Police closed the busy road between The Frog Pub and the Dale Barracks after the accident.
