THE funeral has taken place for stabbing victim Fynn Western-Davey.
Details of the private service have not been disclosed by the family of Mr Western-Davey, of Chapel Lane, Boughton, which followed a public memorial service at Chester Cathedral last Tuesday.
Jason Howells, 34, and Nicola Bishop, 25, have been charged with murdering Mr Western-Davey, 23, at their Balmoral Park home, Chester, on Saturday January 23.
The victim’s father Simon Western, who lives in London, told The Chronicle the funeral had been “a very personal” occasion.
On the Facebook tribute site, ‘RIP Fynn Davey’, he wrote: “Thanks to everyone for their kindness at the memorial and funeral, both were very very special and loving occasions, I was uplifted by the love shown to Fynn.”
At the memorial service Mr Western said he had “cried for three weeks” after the death of his son and talked about the privilege of being Fynn’s dad.
He said his son had lived life “more authentically, more truthfully and with more soul” than anyone else he knew.
But Mr Western, a Quaker, also admitted that in his youth and adult life Fynn was “trouble at times”.
“He was never going to fit easily in to a world that makes us conform,” he explained.
Mr Western said he and his fashion-conscious son had talked about setting up a designer clothes business together.
Fynn lived with his girlfriend Stacey Ward and her little boy Lucas. In her latest posting on Facebook, she wrote: “I feel so lost without you, sleep tight babe. You’re always in my dreams xxx.”
An inquest has been opened and adjourned into Mr Western-Davey’s death.
