The service is launching its first ever Community Champion awards and is looking for people and organisations who have made a difference to the safety of others.

Chief fire officer Paul Hancock said: “These awards are looking to reward the people and organisations who help save lives and make our communities safer.”

Nominations must be in by Wednesday, February 24.
