A 63-YEAR-old man has been arrested following a warrant in Upton.
The warrant was carried out in Oakfield Avenue, Upton at 8.45am on Thursday, February 11.
Officers from the Chester Outer Neighbourhood Policing Unit recovered 140 plants at the house during the warrant, which was carried out following information from members of the public.
Sgt Steve Birkett said: “Many of the warrants we carry out are as a result of information from the public.
“I would urge anyone who has concerns about drug use or supply in their community to contact the police.
“Even if information is not acted on immediately, it is used to build up a case and gather evidence.”
The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
