Couple accused of murdering Chester man Fynn Western-Davey in court

A COUPLE accused of murdering Chester man Fynn Western-Davey have appeared at crown court for the first time.

Forensic science student Nicola Bishop, 25, and her boyfriend Jason Howells attended Chester Crown Court on Monday charged with Mr Western-Davey’s murder at their home in Balmoral Park, off Cheyney Road, on Saturday, January 23.

Mr Western-Davey suffered two stab wounds, including one to the heart.

Howells, 34, with short hair and who wearing a black leather jacket, is also charged with possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.

An application for bail made with respect to Bishop, who was wearing a brown tank top, was dismissed by presiding judge Elgan Edwards, Recorder of Chester.

The pair were remanded in custody to reappear at Chester Crown Court on April 19 when both will be asked to enters pleas. Judge Edwards would prefer the trial to take place in May.

A memorial service for family and friends of Fynn Western-Davey takes place at Chester Cathedral tomorrow (Tuesday, February 16) from 11am.
