University of Chester student receives BBC award from Reeves & Mortimer

A STUDENT from the University of Chester has won the BBC Partnership Award for Production.

Hayley Evans was presented with the BBC Production Award for her film The Bridge at the Connect & Create Conference by TV funny men Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.

Judges said Hayley’s entry “conjured up a great sense of place and atmosphere, and revealing interviews full of light and shade”.

At the conference Mark Thompson, director general of the BBC, launched the new jobs website for the BBC’s move to MediaCityUK in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester in 2011.

Speaking to an audience of students and academics at Teesside University he said that hundreds of new jobs will become available through a new BBC North jobs website: www.bbc.co.uk/jobs/north.
