SCHOOLS were united in celebration after they received outstanding recognition by education watchdog Ofsted.
Headteachers from Delamere Primary, Mill View Primary and Dee Banks Special School attended last month’s awards ceremony at Manchester Town Hall for those included on the annual list of outstanding providers.
Delamere head Steve Docking, who attended the ceremony with fellow headteachers Ray Elliot (Dee Banks) and Susan Walters (Mill View), said: “This was a wonderful experience for all three of us. We all work in contrasting schools and strive for the best outcomes for the children in our care.
“Although as headteachers we attend the awards ceremony, the award is recognition for all members of our school communities and we thank them for their continued hard work and support.”
School were judged by Ofsted inspectors to demonstrate an excellent quality of care, support and education to meet the needs of the children, young people and adult learners.
There were 4,020 schools, colleges, childcare and social care providers in England judged to be outstanding in 2008-09.
