A DAY of activities at a Malpas school raised more than £3,000 for the Haiti disaster appeal.
Bishop Heber High School pupils were delighted they raised £3,252 through a non-uniform day and donations by staff, pupils and parents.
The pupils were able to show director of children's services for Cheshire West and Chester John Stephens how much they raised when he visited the school.
He introduced himself to the headteacher, staff and pupils and took a tour of the facilities at the school.
Sue Griffiths from the school said: “It was a great opportunity for him to see what we do at the school and for the pupils to meet someone from the council who makes decisions on their education.”
