Peckforton Castle is undergoing a £1.5 million renovation project

A CHESHIRE landmark is gearing up for a £1.5m renovation project to the Grade I listed building.

Peckforton Castle a family run luxury hotel is undertaking the project to add a brasserie, a further 10 en-suite bedrooms and beauty treatment rooms to the hotel.

Chris Naylor, managing director of the medieval style castle, said: “Our intention has always been to ensure we realise the Castle’s potential and deliver what guests want.

“The brasserie will provide a chic, informal meeting place and will be open to everyone.

“The extra bedroom capacity means we can accommodate even larger groups of leisure guests and larger corporate events.

“The beauty treatment rooms will enable guests and non-residents to take advantage of some holistic therapies and will provide an extra treat.”

Despite the high level of renovation activity taking place, visitors to Peckforton Castle will be unaware of the massive project taking place behind the scenes.

Mr Naylor added: “As we’re Grade I listed we can’t touch the exterior of the castle.

“All renovation is indoors and taking place in a part of the castle currently out of view of the public eye. You’d never know it was there.”
