BASKETBALL team the Cheshire Jets paid a visit to Flint High School to try out some new equipment.
The school has invested in some Quick Change baskets to improve training.
Head coach of Flint Jets, a junior team based at the school, Danny West said: “The great thing about these hoops is they offer basketball full court set-up at the touch of a button.
“It is a safer way of setting up court using electrically operated winches which saves time organising game days and training sessions.”
Money for the equipment was raised thanks to donations from Nat West bank, the Cheshire Jets Basketball Organisation, Flintshire Schools Basketball Association and the Sports Council for Wales.
Cheshire Jets players Calvin Davies, Chez Marks and Shawn Myers went into the school to try out the new hoops.
Director of Cheshire Jets Peter Hawkins said: “It is great news that we’re starting to get the quality of facilities in line with the quality of coaching.”
