Hoole woman wants help to raise funds for her London Marathon bid
A TEACHING assistant is hoping her coffee making skills and fashionable friends will help her to cross the finishing line of the London Marathon.
Jenny Beyer, aged 23, of Oaklea Avenue, Hoole, is on track to run the country’s most famous marathon, but is looking for help to raise vital funds for her chosen charity Children with Leukaemia.
The teaching assistant at Dorin Park school has already completed the London half marathon last year and is preparing to run another two half marathon’s before the big race in April.
She said: “I have been training hard. I have been running for quite a while and decided it was about time I did a proper marathon.”
Jenny needs to raise £2,000 for her place in the race and has organised two fundraising events to help her reach her target.
On Saturday Jenny will be holding a coffee afternoon at All Saints Church, Vicarage Road, Hoole, from 2-4pm.
On February 12 there will be a Tis almost Fairy Time fashion show at the New Scene Live Youth Club, on Newton Lane at 7pm. The show will be put together by Jenny’s friend, fashion designer Natalie Pierce-Jones. Tickets £3 on the door.
