A Paralympian from Sandiway will race to success for a children’s charity

A PARALYMPIAN from Sandiway is taking on a marathon challenge.

Matthew Dimbylow, aged 39, of Sandington Drive, Sandiway, a member of the England and GB paralympic football teams, will run the Virgin London Marathon to raise funds for the charity Caudwell Children. The father-of two has always been passionate about sport and played football at a semi-professional level, but it wasn’t until he was diagnosed with extra pyramidal syndrome, a variant of Parkinson’s disease, that sport really took over his life.

The marathon is on April 25. Anyone wishing to support Matthew can donate online at www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/caudwellchildren.
