APPLAUSE greeted the unanimous refusal of outline plans for a property with views over the Cheshire plain.
The application was made by Mrs D Patel on land off Torr Rise, Tarporley.
Due to the steeply sloping nature of the site, the property would appear as a bungalow at the front but would have more of a two storey appearance at the rear, planning officers believed. Tarporley Parish Council objected arguing the house would dominate and overlook adjacent homes in Oathills Drive.
Councillors raised concerns about how the stability of the ground would be and how drainage could be provided.
