Four car collision brought rush hour chaos around Chester’s Posthouse roundabout

A FOUR car collision made hundreds late for work on Friday morning (January 22).

The pile up at 8am on the eastbound carriageway, at junction 36 on the approach to the exit slip road to the Posthouse pub, blocked one of the two lanes.

A blue Ford Fiesta, a silver Mazda convertible. a blue Ford Mondeo and a white Nissan pick-up were all involved and it is thought the driver of the Fiesta – a young woman – was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Cheshire police spokeswoman Jacqui Hanson said: “There was lots of congestion right in the middle of rush hour.

“It was cleared by 10am.”
