CLEARANCE of the Frodsham High School site resumed on Monday following a two- week delay after the building firm preparing the ground for a new community health centre went bust.
Cheshire West and Chester Council confirmed this week that White Building Services Ltd, based in Newton-le-Willows, was placed into administration on January 7.
The council had been due to hand the site over last week to developers engaged by Western Cheshire Primary Care Trust to build the health centre, but this has been extended until February 5.
A council spokesman said: “The recent bad weather may well have caused a slight delay, anyway, but we quickly made alternative arrangements and are now back on track.”
