Reunion turns sour after Preston Brook man fined for possessing cocaine in Frodsham

A REUNION with friends ended an expensive night out for a Preston Brook man after he was ordered to pay £420 for possession of cocaine.

Danzil Sanders, 37, of Marina Village, was arrested at the Frodsham District Taxis office with a teaspoon-sized amount of the Class A drug in the run-up to Christmas.

Rob Youds, prosecuting, said Sanders bought the drugs for £35 in Liverpool from a man he didn’t know after bowing to peer pressure.

Adrian Evans, defending, said: “It’s the classic story of being fearful of the company you keep.”

Magistrates chairman John Meredith ordered the drugs to be destroyed and fined Sanders £320 and told him to pay costs of £35 and a £15 victims surcharge.
