CHESHIRE’S Action Transport Theatre has announced the four writers it will work with as part of the Four For The Port project to take promising authors from first ideas to finished plays.
Janine Atkin, Jo Bell, Maisie Linford and Rob Ward will begin working with the company this month to bring their 20-minute shows to the stage of Whitby Hall, Ellesmere Port, before featuring in the line-up at the Chester Literature Festival in October.
Action Transport Theatre will include the plays as part of a mini festival showcase in the autumn alongside new productions Twelve Miles From Nowhere, The Fool On The Hill and Tika.
The upcoming production of My Mother Told Me Not To Stare, described by director Nina Hajiyianni as a ‘delicious, dark operetta for curious children and their grown ups’, will be performed at Whitby Hall from March 12-13.
