Abandoned cat found in freezing temperatures near Sealand kennels

A FEMALE adult cat has been abandoned in a cat carrier outside kennels in Sealand.

The tortoiseshell cat was discovered in freezing temperatures on Tuesday morning last week close to Birchwood Boarding Kennels, Green Lane, Sealand. The cat was covered in fleas.

Local RSPCA inspector Tim Jones said: “How someone could abandon their pet in this weather in a cat carrier is beyond me. If she had been out in the cold overnight then her fate could have been very different.”

The cat is now in RSPCA care receiving treatment. Calls can be made to the RSPCA cruelty and advice line on 0300 1234 999.
