FIREFIGHTERS tackled a bedroom blaze at a flat in Blacon.
Crews were called to the ground floor property in Sherwood Road at 1.40pm on Thursday.
Four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to put out the fire and ventilate the flat.
Fire crews then fitted smoke detectors at the property.
