A 33-YEAR-OLD man suffered serious facial injuries after being assaulted at a Chester city centre pub.
The victim, from Ellesmere Port, was attacked just before midnight on Saturday inside Off The Wall in Little St John Street.
He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for treatment.
A 40-year-old man from Chester was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed until March, while further enquiries are carried out.
Police say there was a large number of people in the area at the time and are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to contact Detective Nathaniel Walkowiak on 0845 458 0000.
