Weather forces Chester pet shop to cancel workshop

A WILD bird workshop was cancelled on Saturday because extreme weather conditions made it impossible for visitors to participate.

The free event, planned to be held at the Pets at Home store in the Greyhound Retail Park on Sealand Road, was designed to inform children about the importance of feeding wildlife in the winter months.

Dangerous roads prevented potential participants from venturing out.

Pets at Home spokeswoman Suzi Burns said: “We are not sure if or when we will hold this usually popular event again this year.”
