A REUNION and open day for former Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will be held in Frodsham at the end of January.
The 4th Frodsham Overton Scout Group – which recently extended and modernised its Hillside Road headquarters – is welcoming anyone from the community wanting to look at the new-look building or find out more about Scouting on Sunday, January 31, from 1.30-5pm.
Group Scout leader Ron Sayle said: “This will be a great opportunity for old Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and supporters of the group to have a look round our new headquarters, recognise a few old faces and enjoy a sausage sandwich and ‘eggy bread’ like the old times.
“It would be terrific to see many from the local community pop in for a cup of tea and a chat as well, and we are happy also to deal with any enquiries regarding joining the Scout Association or hiring our building.”
The group, which was founded in 1978, celebrated the official opening of its renovated and extended headquarters in October following the revamp, which cost more than £150,000.
It doubled the size of the headquarters and added a modern kitchen and toilets, a meeting room and large storage area.
