Street gang attack on Chester’s Blacon estate

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked attack on Christmas Eve which left a man with a broken jaw.

The 41-year-old victim was walking home from the Highfield pub in Western Avenue, Blacon, had turned into Furne Road and was assaulted by a group of men.

The victim, who required hospital treatment for a broken jaw, has only now reported the incident.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the attack, which happened at about 9pm on December 24, is asked to call DC Neil Doleman at Chester CID on 0845 458 0000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
