Arsonists set fire to skip in Chester street

FIREFIGHTERS from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to put out a skip which had been deliberately set alight.

The incident happened near a property in Orchard Street in Chester at about 8.30pm on Sunday, January 3.

Two crew members from Chester Fire Station used hose reels to extinguish the blaze on the skip, which was well alight on arrival.

Special equipment was also used to overturn the items which needed dampening down.
