Neston High School students support Operation Christmas Child

STUDENTS at Neston High School have been boxing clever this Chrismtas.

The youngsters have filled almost 200 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, the charity which sends gifts to children in less advantaged countries.

Members of Willaston Methodist Chapel also donated boxes.

Ten students visited the charity’s depot in Birkenhead to see the boxes being prepared by volunteers for their journey to Romania and other parts of Eastern Europe.

Deputy headteacher Rachel Hudson, who co-ordinated the appeal, said: “It was great to see so many students and the local community involved. I am always humbled by the thoughtfulness and generosity of everyone.”
