Hundreds enjoy Mistletoe Ball at Chester Racecourse to raise thousands for Hospice of the Good Shepherd

HUNDREDS of festive revellers got into the spirit of giving with a Mistletoe Ball in aid of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

The ball was held in the Pavilion of Chester Racecourse and saw 350 people enjoying a champagne reception, a three-course meal and a variety of entertainment.

Jazz singer Paul Pashley and blues band Good Fellas kept the audience entertained, while a charity auction raised nearly £6,000.

Auction prizes included X-Factor tickets, a holiday villa for four in Marbella and a Boodles love letter necklace.

The event raised more than £12,000 for the hospice.
