IMAGES of Christmas photographed by clients of Chester’s charities are on display over the festive period.
Volunteer Centre Chester and Chester Aid to the Homeless (CATH) have joined forces in organising an inspiring photographic exhibition which is currently being held at St Peter’s Ecumenical Centre, Watergate Street, until Wednesday, January 6.
Clients from seven of the city’s organisation’s were asked to go out and take photographs of Christmas and demonstrate what it means to them.
Curator of the exhibition, John Buchanan, said: “The images show the joy of the period but also the pressures of the season. The exhibition shows what Christmas means to different people in society. It is also a great way of showing off the talents of our clients.”
Brian Hughes, whose photos are in the exhibition, said: “It shows the comments of the community are powerful and should be heard, especially in today’s world of politics and corporate mismanagement.”
About 20 clients from seven different organisations took part in the project and everybody is welcome to view their work at the centre.
