THE Methodist and United Reformed churches in the Garden Quarter of Chester held a successful charity coffee morning at the Methodist Church in Garden Lane.
People from the community gave support to members of the church resulting in proceeds of £310 on the day, including personal donations from church members and friends.
Further donations already received, together with money from the sale of pin badges and wristbands, has to date raised nearly £400 for the Help for Heroes charity and further amounts have been promised to help wounded heroes in the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force.
