CCTV operators alerted Cheshire Police to a large fight in Chester city centre on Saturday afternoon.
At about 3.20pm a large fight broke out in front of the Old Queen’s Head public house on Foregate Street.
The individuals involved had been watching the football in the pub and had caused trouble after the match.
The police plane was scrambled and patrols alerted about the affray.
Five people were arrested for public order offences. All came from the Mansfield area.
They were later released on police bail for further enquiries.
