Christmas Day joy for Blacon mum Sarah with birth of second child Jayden
CHRISTMAS Day delivered an extra-special present for mothers across the region.
Sarah Tilston, of Rhuddlan Road, Blacon, gave birth to baby boy Jayden at the Countess of Chester Hospital after she was taken there at 1.30am.
Jayden was born just after 6.15pm, weighing 8lb 10oz.
Sarah, manager at the Forum shopping centre branch of McDonald’s, said the new arrival was a great surprise for her daughter Aaliyah, three, as Jayden arrived three weeks early.
She said: “She was very excited, but I didn’t get to see her on Christmas Day because I was in labour, so Aaliyah had to stay with her grandparents and her father.
“She got to see Jayden on Boxing Day though, and now we’re home we’ve got presents for her.”
Sarah also thanked workers at the Countess.
She added: “The staff at the hospital were really good, a big help.”
Liam and Leah Dunn, from Buckley, were overjoyed at the arrival of their baby son Layton John, born at the Countess on Christmas Day at 2.50pm, weighing 6lb.
Dawn Kehoe, 26, from Ellesmere Port, and Jenifer Chung, 17, from Great Sutton, both gave birth at the Countess in the early hours of Friday.
First to be delivered was Dawn’s daughter Tilly-May at 12.13am, weighing 7lb 13oz.
Then at 4.35am Jenifer gave birth to her son Alfe-Lee, who weighed 8lb 8oz.
