Chester’s Vets4Pets appeal sees huge quantities of pet goods delivered to Chester Cat Care, the RSPCA and the Cats Protection League

KIND-HEARTED animal-lovers have donated huge quantities of pet goods for a Chester veterinary centre’s Christmas appeal.

Vets4Pets Chester, based in Brook Lane, has been collecting a range of items for household pets to distribute to three local worthwhile causes.

Rachel Lindsay, receptionist at the centre, said: “We have been collecting for the RSPCA, Chester Cat Care and the Cats Protection League.

“People have donated pet food, bedding, cat litter, treats, bowls and towels for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals throughout December. We have had posters around the building promoting the appeal.”

And the centre’s appeal has proved to be a huge success.

“We’ve got loads of material, large boxes full of food, many toys, six beds, bags of towels and a lot of cat litter.

“Hopefully we’ll be running this every year from now on, it has been very successful.”

Anna Stanley, of Chester Cat Care, is delighted about the appeal.

She said: “I’m over the moon. People lead busy lives, it’s nice for them to think about giving to the centre, especially at this time of year.”
