Pair bailed after car stolen from Ellesmere Port house on Christmas Eve

TWO men suspected of stealing a car from a house in Ellesmere Port on Christmas Eve night have been released on police bail.

The pair were arrested by officers after they were stopped in the Grosvenor Road area of Chester, driving a silver Kia Picanto.

The car had allegedly been stolen between 10.30pm and 11.15pm from a house on Highfield Road in Little Sutton.

Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: "Officers arrested the males on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and burglary."

The two men have been bailed until Wednesday, January 20.
