CHILDREN and staff at Cuddington Primary have been working hard over the last few weeks to rehearse for their annual Christmas show, Cinderella Rockerfella.
The adaptation of the traditional pantomime includes the ‘boo and hiss’ villain, Fairy Nasty Boots, and the pantomime dames, Anastasia and Augustina.
The main parts were played beautifully by Mollie Birtles (Cinderella), Sam Plant (Rockerfella) and Rebecca Hosker (Buttons), while Daniel Tyrrell and Josh Moore portrayed the Ugly Sisters with great panache and a lot of make up.
The rest of the children in Years 5 and 6 took the other speaking roles while Year 3 performed a spectacular wedding cake dance.
Year 4 sang and danced their way through the evening.
Everyone who attended the two sell-out performances commented on the talent and professionalism displayed.
Headteacher Yvonne Elliott said: “I thoroughly enjoyed watching the children perform; they all spoke clearly, sang beautifully and danced well. I am extremely proud of them all. I would like to congratulate everyone involved, especially our fabulous pupils and two of our teaching assistants, Mrs Plant and Mrs Austin, who worked with the children with such commitment and dedication to achieve such a polished result.”
