STAFF, youngsters and their parents at a Hoole nursery stepped out for a fundraising walk in aid of a good cause.
The charitable group dressed up as heroes and left Best Friends Day Nursery to head for Hoole’s shopping centre, where residents gave generously to their appeal.
Money collected went toward the national Help for Heroes campaign. The idea for the charity came from staff member Lucy Cooke, whose boyfriend is currently on a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
The nursery is also holding a raffle to win a hero teddy bear, and is inviting people to make donations in aid of its appeal. For more details, call the nursery on 01244 341057.
